On Monday, the patriarch of the family of the Washington Nationals, Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, was found dead in a motel room, the latest death in a string of suicides in the Washington area.
The 43-year-old, whose real name is Juan Francisco Vargas, was shot multiple times in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not yet released a cause of death and have not identified the victim, but they have said that Lopez-sanchez had a history of depression and suicidal tendencies.
The family of Lopez-San-Torres, who also goes by the stage name Juan Carlos, have said they were deeply saddened by the news of his death.
They said in a statement that they were heartbroken by the death of Juan Francisco and ask for privacy during this difficult time.
“Juan Francisco was a kind and caring person who made a positive impact on our family and our community,” the family said in the statement.
“He will be greatly missed by our entire family and loved ones.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.”
The family said Lopez-Santa Ana was a beloved member of the Nationals’ family and was loved by all who knew him.
The team issued a statement expressing its deepest condolences to the Lopez-san-Torre family and the Nationals organization, which includes the team, for the loss of the father of four.
“We offer our deepest condolences and condolences to their loved ones at this difficult and traumatic time,” the statement said.
The statement went on to say that the team and the Nats would continue to work with authorities in the investigation.
The Nats, who have been struggling in recent years to stay afloat in the NL East, had a bye week on Thursday and Friday.
They are scheduled to play in Cincinnati on Monday.
